SONAbeam delivers
wireless solutions that simplify and speed network
deployments for carrier, service provider and
enterprise customers around the world. The SONAbeam™
series of free space optical (FSO) networking
products use an unlicensed, wireless technology
operating at speeds up to 2.5 Gbps and distances up
to 5km.
Millimeter Wav (MMW)
MMW is a
line-of-sight system that sends data over
low-powered radio waves through the air. Optical
signal is received from network, signal therefore is
converted to millimeter wave, modulated and
transmitted @ ~60Ghz. Antenna receives the signal
and a radio intercept and converts signal to
optical, then sent back into network via fiber.
Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN)
A wireless LAN (WLAN)
is a flexible data communication system implemented
as an extension to, or as an alternative for, a
wired LAN. Often the use of cables is impractical if
not impossible, in which case WLANs have proven
their effectiveness: very portable, no need to wire
every workstation and every room, entire networks
can be easily moved without the requirement to
additional wiring, cable drops or reconfiguration of
the network. Different LANs at distant locations can
be connected (bridged). For instance, to connect 2
offices across the street.
Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN)
The WWAN (Wireless
Wide Area Network) is a fully Bi-Directional
Wireless network capable of data transfer speeds in
excess of 100 Mbps for less than the cost of most
conventional 56k internet services. Unlike other
"wireless" services that require a telephone line or
cable modem to transmit outbound data at greatly
reduced speeds, NO hard wired support is needed to
utilize this system. Through use of our proprietary
Intelligent Routing and PCM technologies, we are
able to transmit virtually
any data packet over the WWAN system in a completely
protected and fail safe manner.
